Old Parish B&w

This church is stunning in the daylight, but if you get a chance to walk past it at night too, you’ll see it in a completely different (flood)light!

Originally built as St Paul’s Church and renamed Old Parish and St Paul’s Church in 1931, it was designed by Hay and Henderson and cost £13,000 (equivalent to over £1.6 million today).

The imposing spire, which is a local landmark, was added in 1886. The church also has an impressive range of stained-glass windows.

This building is Category B listed. You can find out more about its history here.
