A new monthly award has launched to celebrate Galashiels businesses that help keep the town looking clean, tidy and welcoming.
The Golden Broom Award, from BID for Galashiels, recognises local businesses that take pride in their premises and the area around them.
This could be keeping shopfronts and entrances tidy, looking after windows and displays, clearing litter, adding flowers and plants, or simply going the extra mile to look after their part of the town.
The First Winner
The first Golden Broom has been awarded to The Trophy Guy, recognising the care and attention they give to their premises and the area around it. They’ll keep the Golden Broom trophy for the month before it moves on to the next winning business.
If we all look after the little bit of Galashiels around us, together we can make a big difference to how the town looks and feels.
