BID for Galashiels was out on the ground last month alongside Scottish Borders Council and Police Scotland, walking the full length of the BID area to take a close look at the town centre.
The walk focused on everything from litter and empty units to signage, cleanliness and the overall feel of the area. The BID for Galashiels project acknowledges how important these issues are to everyone in Galashiels. There is work to be done – and this was the first step in setting out a clear plan to tackle it head-on.
BID for Galashiels has stated its commitment to delivering positive, lasting improvements for the town. Updates will be shared through its newsletter and social media channels. To keep up to date with activity, follow the BID for Galashiels Facebook page.
A Business Improvement District is a company led and funded by local businesses, created to bring positive change to a defined area. In Galashiels, the BID supports projects that improve the town centre, support local enterprise and create a more attractive place for residents and visitors.
