For anyone who is deaf, hard of hearing or has other sensory issues! ‘Art Using Texture & Light’
Free workshops to create and experiment with unusual materials
Places limited, please book in advance.
A fantastic opportunity to take part in two art workshops designed
for anyone who is deaf, hard of hearing or has other sensory issues. Claire Beattie, a fabulous local artist, will collaborate with Borders Hearing Care to deliver these sessions in their cozy, colourful shop in Galashiels.
These illuminating workshops are part of ‘Art ‘n About in Gala’, a community arts programme funded by Energise Galashiels Trust, Scottish Borders Council, and South of Scotland Enterprise, and delivered by Transform Arts CIC.
The workshops will explore using light, sound, and touch to generate new and unusual ways to create art. There is no right or wrong way to make the art, so whatever your confidence level, just come along and enjoy the creative process. It will be inspiring, social, and a great way to feel good.
You can join us for one or both sessions. All ages and abilities are welcome. U16’s must bring an accompanying adult (over 18), and carers are welcome.
WHEN: Saturdays 11 & 18 November. 10.30am – 2.00pm
VENUE: Borders Hearing Care, 52 Channel Street, Galashiels, TD1 1BA.
