Autumnal Community Art & Music Workshops
Dive into the heart of Galashiels on Heartland Market day with FREE pop-up workshops that celebrate the magic of autumn through music and art. Suitable for all ages. All activities are FREE!
Date: Saturday 7 October
Time: 10am – 2pm
Location: Various shops and locations around Channel Street, Galashiels.
What’s happening:
- Katie’s Music Sessions will be creating an interactive music experience in front of the Tapestry building.
- Claire Beattie will be leading a giant autumnal floor drawing workshop in Borders Hearing Care at 52 Channel Street.
- Anne-Louise Keiran will be leading a wool wrapping on sticks workshop, incorporating natural materials, in Untangled Yarns at 10 Channel Street.
Also, chalk drawings on the ground. The giant fruit and vegetable collages that were created recently, will be displayed in the area around the Heartlands Market and The Great Tapestry of Scotland.
