Community Defibrillator Familiarisation Day

A new community defibrillator is being installed outside of the Salmon Inn. This event is open to anyone who wants to learn how to use it.

This familiarisation day is open to anyone in the community who would like to learn more about how life-saving defibrillators work and are operated.

George Miller and Colin Baxter, two state-registered paramedics, will be walking attendees through everything they might want to learn about, including CPR, the recovery position and defibrillator operation.

There are 3 timeslots over the course of the day, please ensure you select the correct one.

The community defibrillator that is being installed outside of the Salmon Inn was funded by the Salmon Inn, Energise Galashiels Trust, Scottish Building Society and TD1 Youth Hub.

Spaces for this event are limited, so please get in touch with us if you cannot attend anymore so your ticket can be allocated to another member of the community who wants to learn about this life-saving device.
