For our July Incubator Session, we present three acts.

Pointing North: Founding members Tom Doig and Alex Untaru started out as a guitar and bass duo, but after demoing upcoming single “Say It (with your chest)” quickly adopted second guitarist Rory Grieve, vocalist Ace Duncan and drummer Finlay Mackenzie. From there, it didn’t take long for their musical chemistry to become apparent, leading to an exciting fusion of their individual playing styles and influences. Whilst you’d be forgiven for thinking a band whose members are still in high school may lack in emotional maturity, they have a lot to say – so it’s a core value of theirs to write impactful lyrics that are meaningful and relatable to them and their audience – and juxtapose these alongside anthemic, soaring melodies that fans of early Paramore, Stereophonics, and The Yeah Yeah Yeah’s will enjoy.

Black Tooth a new band with members from across Scotland playing some of the best rock you have heard this year and Aimee Maltman a wonderful solo artist who will enthral you with her acoustic guitar and voice.
