Galashiels Christmas Campaign is an Eyeful for Shoppers

Energise Galashiels trust launched its Christmas 2021 campaign this week, with four specially commissioned photos that show a host of volunteer models representing Galashiels shoppers, surrounded by items that depict the broad range of products and services available within the town.

Debbie Paterson volunteer from Energise Galashiels trust said: “We can’t thank the business owners and volunteer model shoppers enough for their energy and enthusiasm. The pride and passion everyone feels for the town was so evident in their willingness to go with the creative flow during the shoot.”

The campaign, called ‘Galashiels. More than Meets the Eye’ captures photos taken in four local business premises, MacArts, Mitchell Glass Ltd, Creative Borders and Ostle’s Tyres.

Alana Turnbull, owner of the town’s Music Station shop said:” There is so much more awareness of the need to shop local now, not only to support local traders, but also to travel less and reduce the impact on the environment. We are always keen to be part of any campaign that raises awareness of what’s on offer in Galashiels.”

The campaign is funded by the Scottish Government through the South of Scotland Enterprise and Scottish Borders Council. Energise Galashiels Trust would like to thank all involved, especially the owners of the businesses and the Galashiels shoppers.
