Scotland Loves Local Week returns from 13th-20th June 2026, celebrating the people, places and businesses that help our communities thrive.
This year’s national theme, Flying the Flag for Local Businesses, encourages people across Scotland to think local first and recognise the important role local businesses play in keeping our town centres vibrant, welcoming and full of life.
We’re delighted that Galashiels has taken part in this year’s national Scotland Loves Local campaign, with a professional photo shoot taking place on 25th May to help showcase the town and community as part of the Scotland-wide promotion. We’re looking forward to seeing the results shared during Scotland Loves Local Week.
When the giveaway launches on 13th June, you’ll be able to enter by commenting with the name of your favourite local business and telling us why you love them.
Want an extra chance to win? You’ll also be able to earn a bonus entry by visiting a Galashiels business, taking a photo while you’re there, and sharing it on Facebook or Instagram, tagging Galashiels Heartland in your post.
The giveaway will run from 13th–20th June 2026, so keep an eye on our Facebook page for full details and your chance to enter.
The winner will be announced on 22nd June through the Galashiels Heartland social media channels.
