Borders Family History Society
Borders Family History Society is a charity run by volunteers that supports its members to research their genealogy. Primarily its resources are aimed at those researching their Scottish Borders ancestors. Our research facilities, databases, and local history library can provide a greater understanding of how our ancestors lived in the Borders.
As well as this we have the facilities to search for ancestors within the rest of the UK as well as further afield.
Membership is through a small annual fee (see website for details). Membership allows access to our research facilities, discounts on our research service (if required), access to our local history library, discounts MI book sales, provision of our magazine (thirdly), as well as regular monthly talks. There is also the opportunity to become involved with like-minded family historians, sharing knowledge, skills, and research experiences.
