Gala Cricket Club

Gala Cricket Club was established in 1853 by mill workers in the town and made the move to our current home, Meigle Park, in the early 1900s. The club has seen many changes over its 167 year tenure from its clubhouse to its playing division.

Currently, our club has two senior sides – a 1st XI which competes in the East of Scotland Cricket Association (ESCA) Championship and a 2nd XI competing in ESCA Division 7. We also play Sunday friendly fixtures.

The club has a vibrant junior section, with sessions running for ages under 16, under 12 and under 8s including All Stars Cricket.

The club always welcomes new faces. Whether an experienced cricketer, an enthusiastic new start or a keen supporter, you will always be welcomed at Meigle Park.
