Founded by three women, each running their independent businesses in Galashiels, The Heartland Market is more than just a market. It’s a movement – one that champions community, supports mindful making, and encourages people to shop consciously and locally.
Our mission is simple: to breathe life into our town centre and create a destination where people come not just for the market, but to explore all that Galashiels has to offer, from its brilliant retailers to its rich local culture.

The Heartland Market is held on the first Saturday of every month (except in July, when it’s on the second Saturday in July) from 10am – 2pm in Channel Street (near the Great Tapestry of Scotland).
