The Rowan’s Trust is helping local children learn to swim. Founded in 2010 in memory of young athlete Rowan Boland, the charity supports aspiring youth in sports.
In partnership with the Hayward Sanderson Trust, Glenpark Foundation, and Scottish Borders Council Active Schools, the Trust is funding swimming lessons for primary pupils in the TD1 area. Sessions, held at Galashiels Swimming Pool, include swimsuits for children in need and are designed to make swimming more accessible.
