Much-loved Galashiels café Zola’s Bakery has announced it will be closing its doors on 16th August, as the owners prepare to relocate to Norwich and begin a new chapter.
Over the past three years, Zola’s has become a valued part of the town centre – known not only for its outstanding bakes and coffee, but for the warmth and creativity it brought to the community.
In a statement, the team shared their gratitude to everyone who supported them, adding that the decision to close wasn’t due to finances or footfall, but a desire to enjoy more time with family and dogs – and embrace a different pace of life.
Zola’s leaves behind a lasting impression on Galashiels and will be remembered as a true asset to the town. On behalf of the town, we wish the team the very best in their next chapter.
