- • Starting at the Interchange on Sustrans route spur (1).
- • Follow shared path blue signs for Tweedbank crossing Stirling Street with the church to your left.
- • Stay on the path entering Currie Road and onto the crossing at the roundabout.
- • Ahead on the shared path following signs for Tweedbank (1). Gala water to your right and Waverley Rail Line to your left.
- • Ahead to steel bridge. Cross bridge and turn left on shared path following Gala Link on shared path.
- • Ahead to Galafoot.
- • Left on Winston Road route1. Option to stay on shared path or use road. Go uphill and turn right crossing Winston Road.
- • Follow shared path signed Tweedbank, crossing railway bridge over river Tweed. Stay on path up short hill.
- • CAUTION short road section ahead. Turn right on Tweedbank Drive and go downhill to Gunknowe Loch.
- • Turn left onto shared path around Loch.
- • Exit following signs for Abbotsford House and Galashiels. Stay on shared path, passing spur on left to Abbotsford House 1/4 mile.
- • Ahead on shared path alongside road into Galashiels.
- • Stay on shared path to Tweed Road roundabout.
- • Shared path signage from this point is not clear. Options are to remain on path or cycle in roadway
- • Ahead, passing Fire Station on right to mini roundabout opposite old cemetery
- • Go straight on at mini roundabout down to roundabout at Tesco.
- • Go straight over Tesco roundabout towards Asda. Option to stay on footpath or move into road (A7, busy with traffic)
- • At Asda roundabout, turn left on to shared path and return to town centre and Interchange
