- Starting this walk Comely Bank Retail Park head up Duke Street and over the Mill Lade that used to power the local woolen mills before walking another hidden gem of the Galashiels – Darghai Lane steps. At the top of the steps its upwards and passed Victoria Park and Meigle Park (home of Gala Cricket Club since the early 1900’s). From here the walk takes you along the slopes of Meigle Hill taking in stunning views of the local countryside. The walk then follows the Borders Railway making its way back to the starting point.
